“You don’t start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it’s good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it.
That’s why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.”
― Octavia E. Butler
“And by the way, everything in life is writable about if you have the outgoing guts to do it, and the imagination to improvise. The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt.”
― Sylvia Plath
Not sure who needs these but it’s for you — yes you who feels your writing ain’t good enough. You who want to give up on writing because you feel no one reads your stuff and you who feel there is nothing to write about any more!
Get back to staring at the white page with the blinking cursor or the white page, keep hitting it with the tip of your pen and tell yourself, “I can do this! I am as good a writer as any writer out there. All i have to do it get this written down first and i will worry about whatever is slightly off with it later.”
Just go wild and write your heart out!
Someone out there is waiting to read that “crap” you think you’ve written!
